If you had to buy one Alexander McQueen scarf, which one would you buy?

Ok, am hitting a big birthday this month and my loely family are buying me an alexander mcqueen scarf which is wonderful and I am thrilled!

BUT now it comes to actually choosing just ONE I am lost in a sea of scarves. Plus, don't want to be greedy, so am aiming to choose from the lower end (up to c 200). Also, I want at least one skull on the scarf.

at the moment am leaning towards:-

I'm wearing a pink one with black skulls right now

or these:

I know, I know, very indecisive and actually, am also toying with the thought of a white and black one.

So keep it classic or go for more current colours or go for a more expensive less common skull design....

any thoughts v welcome!

I particularly like the red one, but I suspect the blue one would go with more things. I also like the last one, white with multicoloured skulls, but I'd struggle to put it with anything - obviously you don't have my wardrobe.

I've got the red one and really like it. I also have a black one with cobalt blue skulls but the red gets more wear.

I just did a google images search alexander mcqueen scarf and the vast majority of images are the black on white or white on black so I would avoid that combination as its potentially too much of a this year style statement. (I should caveat that with an I have no style statement).

As its a statement piece for you I'd say go for red and enjoy the vibrant colour.

I'm always after a bargain so even though no skulls I'd be tempted by this one at £65

Go for the colour that suits you best worn next to your face. I have some gorgeous scarves I don't wear because the colour isn't right for me - IMO it's one of the main jobs of a scarf to lift your face a bit. For me that's red, coral or leopard natural type colours.

Objectively I love the white one with multicoloured skulls - fab for summer with a simple top and jeans or khaki type things.

No idea what suits my colouring really ThisBitch, that is a good idea though. I'm going to a local department store this evening and I'm going to see if they have any of these in stock. I think that will help me decide.

They're the same link? Is it pale pink skulls? If so that's lovely, you can't go wrong with navy and pink IMO.

Ah you see Livin I think the obvious skulls are classic McQueen and so won't date! Who the hell knows? I do love the stripey one but it is a bit short. Plus obviously you can't see the skull when it's on. I do like the skull motif! Here's a link if you want to check it out.

They do look pinkish don't they ThisBitch? I didn't pay much attention to that one first but I think actually it's great and would be really wearable with a lot of things and still very "McQueen". Less likely to date than some of the other colours too.

Can't believe how expensive those scarves are! I'd buy a cheap one with skulls on somewhere else (they're everywhere) and get something else

I think the skull scarf has had its day, I see a lot of people wearing the cheapie Primark version and it puts me right off, so based on that I would go for something less obvious.

The white with the multi skulls is fantastic, as is the white with the blue fan stripes and the asbtract skull in the middle. That would look good on a wall! those would be my choices.
