So. I am sitting here with pond scum on my head...

Well, it's what my darling offspring call henna Grin

My question is: I only managed to bung it on after 9pm - would it be too early to wash it out @ 11pm tonight? Will I have wasted my time?

I usually leave it on 3-4 hrs, but do need to get some sleep at some point.
I have once tried leaving it on overnight and could not sleep a wink because of the contraception of cling film/plastic bag/towel towering on my head Grin

So, waddaya think - 1.5 2 hrs enough? Or just sleep (or not) on it?

TIA.

i think….. you are just going to have to have a really late night! wash it out at 12 or 1, don't sleep in it

Sigh.

That's what I thought.
I am on my own tonight, DH away overnight, so finally had peace and quiet to embark on putting henna on (it was well overdue).
Otoh I have to get 4 kids up and ready for school tomorrow morning…

Ach, well.

I left mine on for 3 hrs last week ( first time using henna) and the colour took perfectly so i would suggest at least waiting the three hours.

Yes, that would be my preferred option too, Coconut
But that means a very late bedtime for me

Maybe I should not have bothered tonight, but I have a rare hairdressing appointment in 2/7 and wanted it done before then.

A bit late to the party now, but I've left mine on for 2 hours before and it has coloured ok. Not quite as thoroughly as with 3+ hours, but ok.
