what has motivated you to clear out your wardrobe?

I was thinking about doing this as I have just been to my (stylish) cousins and she showed me her wardrobe.
WOW!
each immaculate item on it's own wooden hanger with space in between!
All her clothes seem to go together -colours/ style etc. and they are all gorgeous.

she hasn't got loads either just all seemed such lovely quality, and not much designer stuff.

so I've been back and looked at the mish mash jumble sale that was mine (most of it now in bin bags) and have booked a shopping day out with said cousin-it's a start.
can't wait Smile

if you have done it what was your motivator/s and did you stay sorted/have you now got clothes that go together/you wear loads etc?

Getting my colours done and editing it accordingly. (Helped by fact most of it was a bit worn out looking.) Chucking out things that didn't suit me (had chosen a lot of stuff on the it'll-do basis). Getting some good basics in neutral colours (a skirt, 2 trousers, jumper, cardigan - had a coat that was okay -, 2 pairs shoes - had boots that were okay), a good belt and a few pieces of jewellery I like (again collection ancient and didn't like some of it any more). Sorting properly according to clothes type so picking next day's clothes easy-peasy.
