Really good quality suit - where would you go?

I have a couple of big corporate things coming up so was going to invest in a good suit rather than my usually next or marks and spencer efforts. Where would you go? I am an 18 on top 16 on bottom so was thinking Hobbs or may be John Lewis? Anywhere else?

Massimo Dutti, Banana Republic and also look at John Lewis, or House of Fraser.

Best suit I ever had was Max Mara. Everyone commented on it.

Something like this or is it a bit too pricey?

That is beautiful but too pricey. I'd do £3/400.

These Reiss ones are good as you can buy jacket, skirt and trousers or combos and would be a better price range.

The Sorrento black jacket is really nice if you want an investment piece that won't date.

I have a wonderful Hobbs suit in that price range. It looks beautiful and the best thing it's machine washable! Saves me a fortune in dry cleaning.

Both the dress and the jacket wash beautifully and don't need ironing just hung up to dry ( and this comes from someone who irons everything) it's 18 months old and still looks perfect.

I have other more expensive suits but my Hobbs is my favourite and I'm planning on buying another this season.
