Summer party shoes without killer heels?

Long time lurker, very new poster here Smile

I am struggling with summery "going out" shoes. I like to wear dresses and my legs are fine so I don't mind no tights, open toes etc but I really want something flat or with a small heel as there's nothing quite as miserable as painful feet on a night out.

What would be nice and vaguely stylish?

I have a big weekend coming up for friend's birthday. Have outfits for the 2 nights (one grecian style red thing and one dark blue cowl back) but stumped on shoes.

Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks!

Wedges! En vogue atm and much comfier. Shops are full of them. Start at Aldo and kurt Geiger...

these?

Laska42 · 01/06/2014 21:25

these? they have them in a black snakeskin white and pewter

EdithDickie · 01/06/2014 21:34

Thank you!

Are wedges really more comfortable than a normal heel of that height?

The pewter Kurt geiger sandals are gorgeous but probably a bit too expensive Sad

They are a lot more comfortable. Much more stable. I'm terrible in high heels - I look like a bloke wearing them on a crap stag do - can't walk normally at all, but I can run for a bus in wedges!

Wedges are brilliant! I can't do heels but I can do surprisingly high wedges. A wider sole is more comfortable than a very narrow one though.

Valdeeves · 01/06/2014 23:56

Those wedges are amazing - I am looking for wedges too but they are out of my budget.

EdithDickie · 02/06/2014 06:24

Perfect thanks, will hit the shops and hunt for wedges.

I got some lovely metallic wedges Smile

New Look rather than Kurt Geiger but I still like them!

Thanks for the help.
