hmmm not keen to be honest but if you like it that's all that matters - yes silver shoes would go well.

Love, love, love the 5th wedding dress (with a real live woman wearing it)

expatinscotland · 02/09/2006 17:56

Hollyboo · 03/09/2006 15:18

I am loving your dress. Not too keen on the bridesmaid one though, sorry! It could be pulled off by a petite person with a nice tan.

starshaker · 03/09/2006 20:52

when my sis put it on it really suited her and she is darker skined than i am. it was also really slimming even though it wasnt the right size

both dresses are really nice - silver heels would def seem good. your dress looks ivory? - ccould flower girl also wear ivory - pull the threee of them together with the flowers - plenty of light green foliage in flower girls to echo colour of your sisters dress?

mosschops30 · 03/09/2006 20:59

sorry but i dont like the bridesmaid dress I think its totally out of sync with yours. Which is beautiful and looks amazing

starshaker · 03/09/2006 21:01

my dress is white and was gonna put dd in a white dress with a band of the bm dress colour round her waist

OP posts:
brimfull · 03/09/2006 21:05

I like the bridesmaid's dress,yours is beautiful.
I agree flower girl could wear a traditional ivory dress with bright breen flowers. What about ivory shoes all round?

hermykne · 03/09/2006 21:11

starshaker
your dress is lovely as is the bridesmaids

yor dds dress will be lovely too

for the shoes - go tourqoise, there is no silver in the dress so silver will look wrong and just stand out as wrong, its a warm hued (coloured) dress, the tones in the dress are warm if you get what i am saying , and silver is for cool tones, so you need a warm coloured shoe - gold would work better.

(i have years of experience in this field - was a shoe designer, had my own shop blah blah blah.. seen coutless outfits before my eyes for mathcing tones and colours.dont think i am boosting or anything pls)

can you get various coloured shoes - dont have to be the one - and bring to the dress if u havent bought it yet, or will they give u a piece of the fabric (for dd's dress ) u can take that to the shops and see what i mean.
hth

starshaker · 03/09/2006 21:12

if we went for the turquoise we would send the shoes to the company making the dress and they would dye them the exact colour of the dress

hermykne · 03/09/2006 21:14

starshaker i would go with that and toe in or a peep toe not a sandal in the autumn!

starshaker · 03/09/2006 21:16

is august not still summer even though it doesnt really feel like it
