What do we think of sweater dresses?

All you style people. Are sweater dresses a good thing?

I'm 24 and slim but I wouldnt wear one

Leave it to the 19 year olds I say

I'm saying 'no'. Well, I won't be wearing one.

One of those things that are great in principle but not so good when you are standing in changing rooms thinking I will need foundation wear girdle in order to full this off. I am a bit on the short side and all of this longer line stuff just does me no favours, makes me look like Toulous Latreche.

I haven't made my mind up about them yet. Am going to try them and then decide.
I do like this though.

not much - trouble is, its like shirt dresses they were in so long ago when I was younger that they just seem so outdated to me.

How about over skinny jeans and boots rather than as a dress? If tall and thin? Like this

I've tried a few on, they looked good on the hanger - but not so good on me! So no, I'm not a fan!

I LOVE them but need a lower neckline

DD had one last winter which looked lovely, but she's two. I used to wear them when I was in my early teens, and the photos show they were very unflattering then, never mind now. Not good imo.
