Christening gown for 1 year old

My friend is having her dd christened in a couple if months time but is struggling to find a reasonably priced and pretty gown. She's saved £180 but this really is the very top end if her budget!
Looking for full length or longer preferably with chiffon pretty overlay. Any ideas?

I suggest looking at monsoon they have a few christening gowns well within that budget and pretty!

My friend and I made one for my granddaughter who was christened at 11 months. We used a fine sheer organza with lace edging for the overlay and made the sleeves (short flutter type) from the lace edging. We also made a cap from the lace edging. We used satin ribbon for a sash and smaller satin ribbon for the cap. We used a standard pattern and adapted it. Your friend might be able to find someone to make it, if she does not sew.

It is a longer mid-calf length. At one she will be mobile and a long dress, especially longer than full length, might be hard for her to manage.

The pattern we used was similar to this:
