Change of shampoo etc and now my hair is static.

Can anyone say why?

I have changed from Elvive to more natural products- Organixs and Naked. I find that after drying my hair it's very flyaway and static when I brush it.
Must be connected to the products so does anyone know why please?

Have you changed to non silicone products? No coatings on your hair shaft to weigh it down?

Lazysummerdays · 28/05/2014 14:17

Yes :)

I know the Elvive was full of silicone but it eventually gave me an itchy scalp so I've changed to products without SLS and other nasties.

I don't get on with SLS (itchy / spotty scalp - sexxxxy), I'm ok with 'cones so long as I use a build up shampoo every week / 10d as is find my hair gets greasy if I don't ( and I wash daily).

I had same problem OP. I persevered and tried a few different brands of organic type ones but got fed up and went back to Elvive. Interested to know if there is a solution to this!

I use Aussie Mega shampoo, no static. Maybe a static free comb/brush, if such a thing exists?

Lazysummerdays · 28/05/2014 17:25

I found Aussie one of the worst shampoos ever- sorry! It gave me a very itchy flaky scalp due to the build up of silicone.

Aussie gives me (and DH) big, cystic acne spots on our hairlines - blee! DD reacts brilliantly to it though and it gives her beautifully silky hair
