What to wear to a gig in a dive bar?

Help! Having a serious crisis of confidence as am off out in a couple of weeks and I don't know what to wear.

Am seeing popular indie band in a smallish local venue with my friends, who are all size 8 and 10, and are 10 years younger than me. I'm a size 16, mainly due to my thunder thighs

What to wear? I've got an ASOS wiggle dress which looks fab on, but is a bit over the top, probably (black with neon pink flowers up the sides and covering the sleeves.

Black skater dress? I wore that last time I went out with them, I guess it would do. Converse or heels?

Skinny jeans and sequinned top?

I've got a cobalt blue lace skater dress too, but it comes above my (wide) knees. Help!

Dresses are always more flattering. Wear the blue dress with tights?
Do you have any flats to wear instead of converse/heels? You could pop into primark and get a pretty pair for £6-£8 if budget is an issue.
Have you planned your hair/make up/nail varnish?

Go casual. Skinnies, converse, longline tshirt or vest with a checked shirt over the top.

Dress yourself up with lovely makeup and short dark nails.

Just wear what you feel comfortable in. Don't try too hard or it will show. I went to slam dunk festival in leeds yesterday amongst kids old enough to be my own. Wore black riding boots,black skinnier, band t-shirt and drape leather jacket.

You shouldn't crowd surf in a dress! Although I have seen it done- we did see her knicks though.

Of course you can come - the more the merrier. Good points about dresses, it's just that they do tend to be my default as they are flattering. Going to go for skinnies - thanks for all your help

Dress over leggings? I always like that look. Converse or flats though.

So... I am wearing a black tube skirt and black opaques (comfort zone ), black converse with neon trim, and this t-shirt from next (which is a heck of a lot more fluoro than the picture!), with a battered purple corduroy blazer style jacket. Very 90s
