How long do you keep make up?

Out of interest ?
I rarely use it(cant be arsed) but do like to have some in for emergency pick up days ,have had some for about 8 months is that really bad even if it isn't really used much?

ages. I can't be arsed with it either. If I'm going out or have a really bad face day then I'll put something on. I've had a lip stick for 7 years!!!!! How bad it that? I got it for my wedding and only wear it now and then

till it runs out or drys up.

Until ds1 gets hold of it ie, a week to 10 days

8 months!!! now i feel really bad about the various items i've had since the late eighties

I think the oldest make-up I own is probably about 10 years old ... and yes I have still used it

i should say tho. i am careful about mascara which i wear everyday. i change that every 6 months - april and oct (yes i'm autistic) as i have sensitive eyes

I have a stye on my eye and wondered if it was because my make up was oldish but now i know it cant be

Could be if it's mascara, PFNM. That's the only thing I'm quite careful about replacing regularly. The rest I keep years! I only wear eyeshadow once in a blue moon and there's no way I'd buy a new one every time I want to use it, so it just stays at the bottom of my make-up bag until I need to use it.

I do wear make-up every day, but I use so little that it lasts ages - to the point where I've gone to replace a lipstick I've finally finished to find the colour was discontinued a year before!
