Matching earrings and necklace - is it naff?

I haven't worn a matching set since my late teens. I have just bought a pair of quirky heart earrings and like the design so am tempted by the necklace but think it would be naff to wear then together am I right?

imho I think it's too much. Buy the necklace by all means but don't wear as a set.

Noooo! Not if they're elegant or simple. Big bright blue chunky earrings with a big bright blue chunky necklace would be overpowering and naff yes. But simple pearls with a single pearl necklace, beautiful for a special occasion.

Matching is fine if they are subtle and simple.

I don't do it!

Or if I do it - I do diamante earrings but with different make/shape necklace etc.

If you love them both, buy both. But i would wear them separately, personally.

I wear matching earrings and necklace sometimes. They are very simple though.

Superfly I wear round diamanté earrings with a pear shaped necklace, that is as matchy as I normally do.

These were quirky, small but not totally subtle, so I think not. Just sticking with the earrings. We are on holiday and leaving in the morning so have had to make a decision.

OP - it's not really down to me what I think!

by the way (can you tell I like shopping?!) airport shops are great for what I can junk jewellery so you may even find something else there.

I wear a CZ stud and matching pendant

Or those silver filigree 'puffed' heart or sphere shaped earrings/pendant.

But neither one OTT

If you like the necklace buy it! You could always wear it with different earrings

I like matching sets of costume jewellery but not of smarter stuff. Often I just wear earrings - always dangly ones
