Louise Wilson, formidable Professor of Fashion at Central St Martins has died.

Only 52 years old .

She invested her own money and so much time into her students studies and careers. She was described as formidable but she defended her field with a passion and what she didn't know about fashion, culture craft and is not worth knowing.

I hadn't heard of her but any death at that age is tragic, and she was clearly a very important person in her field.

I worked with her a few years ago. Terrifying, unbelievably outspoken, very very tough on the students but produced graduates capable of amazing work. Very sorry to hear she has gone. RIP
