Buying making up brushes for eye shadow - are they all interchangeable?

I'd like to buy a good quality eyeshadow makeup brush or brushes but just wondered if they all pretty much do the job or if there are any that people rave about or try to steer clear of? Is this something you research or do you just go to MAC or House of Fraser and get what they sell?

I have a combination of Mac, sigma and zoeeva brushes, I would recommend mac and sigma especially. Zoeeva aren't terrible by any means though.

For eyeshadow, I would suggest you purchase a base shadow brush, a mac 217 for blending and a really fluffy blending eye brush.

I've always bought Mac brushes but recently tried Real Techniques which I find equally as good and a fraction of the mac price.

Thanks people - can either of you tell me which ones I need from sigma or Real Techniques?

namechange fail, I'm "wantingresults" - not that it's important, I'd only changed it because I couldn't remember the original one then when I found it and my thread I forgot to change it back...

Real techniques do a kit of 4 or 5 eye brushes specifically - you can get it from amazon, am on ipad so can't link!
