The Nova, on the first page.

I think the Nova edges it for me, it looks classic, well structured and without lots of branding. Has a short handle and a long (detachable) strap, has a good locking system but also a zip so people can't just ram their hands in your bag on the tube. Large enough to fit lots in but not absurdly big or floppy if not filled up enough. Seems to have a few internal compartments. Also doesn't have overt branding and I like the colour choice.

The Ramanga and the Kira are the only other two I'd consider.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 15/05/2014 22:29

Is this your website / associated w you?

This bag: hidesign.com/best-sellers/grimina-01/p-2206762-3869538296-cat.html#variant_id=2206762-23871129508. It looks slightly Anya. The rest don't appeal.

ThatsMyOnlyShirt · 15/05/2014 22:37

No not associated with me. My FIL is going to India and is bringing me a bag (of my choosing), back as a present.

I just can't decide which one! (And I thought it might be a fun thread).

Logo in Midnight Blue

There's no prices though?

ThatsMyOnlyShirt · 15/05/2014 22:42

Mama Pain I like the Nova. I must admit quite a few are not my "style" but I can't turn down a present. FIL is being very sweet and wants a link to the one's I like. Smile

Yeah the prices thing is puzzling. They would all be in Rupee's anyway.

The Nova. Easily.

ThatsMyOnlyShirt · 15/05/2014 22:49

Another for the Nova! I am considering hidesign.com/best-sellers/hera-01/p-2206762-75060169480-cat.html#variant_id=2206762-4457564227 but I already have a red bag. I don't have a green one though.

Nova here too. I like a nice big sturdy bag for humping all of my work stuff about and it looks just the job!

Nico.
I bought a Hidesign bag years ago in the UK. It's great quality.

LaurieFairyCake · 15/05/2014 22:56

How much are they in this country then?

Fairylea · 15/05/2014 22:56

Ramamga for me.

NearTheWindymill · 15/05/2014 22:59

42nd Street - until I saw the embossed name plate.

PeriPathetic · 15/05/2014 23:04

I can't remember, and it was maybe 10 years ago or more. Is guess about £100 back then.

ThatsMyOnlyShirt · 15/05/2014 23:47

I think it would be similar today, some coming in slightly less. HoFraser and J Lewis stock the men's bags and they are over £100.

Thanks for all the input.

Yy to the Nova. Really like it. No prices is strange though.

IHeartKingThistle · 16/05/2014 00:41

Ramanga is gorgeous.

TheElectricMayhem · 16/05/2014 00:49

The second bag you linked to, the Hera, is made of ELEPHANT LEATHER.

Shock

No no no no no. Ick. Please do not let your FIL buy that bag!

IHeartKingThistle · 16/05/2014 00:51

It says 'Delivery across India. Cash on delivery'. How intruging. Presumably debit cards are not universally held? I wonder how it works exactly? Anyone know?

Coumarin · 16/05/2014 01:29

Sad Shock

KoalaDownUnder · 16/05/2014 03:32

Another vote for the Ramanga.

Only if it's not elephant hide, though! :/

Fide I don't live in India but in the ME. All the banks are run by Indian computer systems. We don't have direct debit, nobody in their right mind would pay online so yep it's cash on delivery. Love it.
