I like them. What are you thinking of wearing them with?

Pos1 · 15/05/2014 13:01

I think yes they are

CeliaFate · 15/05/2014 13:03

They are lovely. I have them Grin. They are so comfortable and versatile.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/05/2014 13:07

I bought them in black last year in desperation (I have very awkward shaped feet) and although they look nice on the shelf and are comfy they are VERY unflattering on as the high cut makes my legs look stumpy. Might be a bit better in this colour than the black.

polyhymnia · 15/05/2014 14:34

Depends partly on whether you like yellow and orange - I don't , but lots of people do.
They're also a bit too fussy for my personal taste - too much going on.

nickEcave · 15/05/2014 16:04

I got these last week and I love them, although I am quite a fan of orange! I wear them with navy chinos from Next rolled up to the ankle. The yellow in the shoe looks OK with a very light olive top which is a colour I really like in the summer and they also look good with cream, white or orange tops. Not so sure if they look good with skirts but I wear slim cropped trousers or chinos in navy or kahki a lot for work and these shoes look great. I'm under 5ft so comfy wedges are essential!

IDugUpADiamond · 15/05/2014 16:40

Hmmm...... I think I've decided I'm going to return them. I do like the look of the from the front, but the wedge is too narrow and I feel a little old woman-ish in them. I think I prefer a thicker wedge despite the clumpy effect. I went for these because I saw them in 'E' fit which is hard to find.

To be honest, I'm not keen - but it is a personal thing.

ouryve · 15/05/2014 16:51

They terrify me, but what matters is whether or not you like them.

dexter73 · 15/05/2014 16:51

I'm not a fan. Bit 'jazzy' for me.

YouHaveBeenOutbid · 15/05/2014 16:54

I had that style a couple of years ago in khaki and ended up ebaying them after 1 wear. The ankle strap bit was tight but the bit over the foot was loose so my foot slid about and I kept going over on my ankle. Not wanting a broken ankle I sold them on! They got loads of compliments though and I love those colours.

WhoKnowsWhereTheTimeGoes · 15/05/2014 17:36

I've just remembered the other problem with them, which is probably specific to me, one of the straps sits just where the end of one of my little toes is (toe pokes out the triangular hole at the side and just touches the front row of straps) and as I walk it sort of goes under the little toe a bit and is a bit uncomfy, catches the toenail a bit too. Mine were black, so possibly not the exact same ones, but very similar. I agree with PP that they look better with trousers than skirts, but still make me a bit stumpy looking.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/05/2014 17:44

I don't like them at all, sorry. But if you like them, you shouldn't care what I think.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/05/2014 17:45

And you are right re the narrow wedge - why do Clarks have those crazy narrow wedges? I'd rather wear a proper heel than totter around on something that is supposed to be sturdy, but isn't.

CointreauVersial · 15/05/2014 18:37

I have these from last year, but mine are navy (over the toe), turquoise (across the ankle) and tan.

They are very comfy and a nice height, but the straps across the ankle do make my feet look massive.

MissBlake · 15/05/2014 19:36

I think they would be nice with a plain black dress or something but not for me. You need to trust your own judgement, we all like different things in everything :)

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 15/05/2014 19:41

I think you made the right choice in returning them.

Nocomet · 15/05/2014 20:06

They are great fun, I love the blue, but I have wedge sandals, I need flat ones.

I want these, but I refuse to pay £50

HappyGirlNow · 15/05/2014 22:40

IMO they're hideous.. Sorry..

KoalaDownUnder · 16/05/2014 03:45

I think they're really ugly...way too much going on.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 16/05/2014 11:33

Bit too 70s throwback for me and I'd break my silly neck in something that height Sad

MrsWinnibago · 16/05/2014 11:44

I like them but know they'd make my ankles into cankles. Can anyone recommend a sandal for a big, wide foot please? Flattering to a thick ankle but not taller heels than about 2 inches?

Please? Grin Sorry for hijack OP...but I have severe sandal issues every year!

IDugUpADiamond · 16/05/2014 11:59

Right that's it, I've returned them. I don't know what i was thinking.

polyhymnia · 16/05/2014 12:07

Good decision, I think.

tethersend · 16/05/2014 12:17

Nocomet, I bought those in gold and returned them as the strap doesn't keep them on your feet properly. They are ridiculous. Avoid.
