Colour gel pedicure and manicure

I don't do grooming very often but am having gels done on toes and hands just before our holiday this year.

What colours should I go for? Do I match or should I go different for hands and feet? Was thinking grey for hands and coral for feet?

Any suggestions? Any 'trends' for nails?

I only do gels on toes. The hands really didn't work. I wouldn't go back to anything other than gels on feet. Watch that you go to a proper place, there seem to be a lot of people setting up bars from the Far East. I haven't had good experiences at all, one heated up acetone using a bowl of boiling water....the place in town only takes cash!

What about black gels??

You should heat up the acetone that way. It works best warm.
Op I think bright toes and more neutral fingers.

I wouldn't bother with gel on toes, toe polish lasts as long and is cheaper.

I often hav gel nails and matching normal polish for toes. id go matching, two different colours would upset me!

Thanks everyone. I know the girl doing it and lots of friends have had nails done by her so I'm quite confident from that point of view.

Maybe it should be matching puppy. I was thinking that would be a bit like matching shoes and handbags, a bit too much somehow. Can't decide!

I had though black x2 but feel I should be more summery!

I go for different colours - life's too short to worry about such things!

Coral on toe nails looks great, instantly summery. I like your idea of grey fingernails.

It lasts ages on my toes, not long on my fingers.

Grey was last year :) I would go for maybe a hot coral / hot pink mix, or lemon and mint if you are feeling braver x

Nothing too pale as sun cream can bleach and discolour it.

I'd have a nice red on both but your coral sounds nice.
