Gold eyeshadow - where to look for an inexpensive one that'll last the night?

Just as the title says really.

We've been invited out for dinner and drinks at a nice hotel so I have a new green dress & wanted a gold eyeshadow to wear with it.

Max budget about a fiver ish.

Rommel have eye paints, come on a wand, they have a gold one.

Also Sleek metallic set which has a good and a silver cream and which would slip into a clutch for easy application top ups.

Maybelline colour tattoo cream shadow in gold is nice, and will last all weekend.

In my younger days, I used Barry M Dazzle Dust on a damp brush, then you get a foil effect.
Superdrugs sell it, tiny little pots but last ages.

I recently craved gold eyeshadow myself (I used to wear gold / bronze with blue or navy - it was the 80s) looks really good with brown eyes.

I bought a couple of the single pressed colours, a dull gold and a peachey bone - gotta love Barry M

MUA at Superdrug does a whole palette of nudes and metallics with different gold tones for about £4. Lasts well too.

I'll have a look for the MUA pallettr at the weekend, although our Superdrug is a bit hit and miss sometimes with what's on the stand, I could do with some new ones for everyday wear.

I second the Maybelline tattoo shadows. Great for eyeshadows that don't budge.
