Leather handbags that are not designer ...........? any lesser known brands you can recommend?

That's it really. I've had the same fossil handbag for years and it's lasted really well. I've just had a look on the fossil website and nothing grabs me. I've been to tk makk and it was a jumble. Nothing I really like (at least not at a price that I believed was a real bargain anywayy).

So, I know there are some handbag experts around. I want a nice handbag that is not too stuffy and formal as my office you could almost (but not quite) wear jeans.

It just has to be lovely and made of leather and i don't care who made it. I feel that bright pink or orange could be on the cards!

then i'd have to buy another one for when pink or orange won't do

I got a beautiful tan bag from TK Maxx, the make is called Jobis. I love it and cost £40.

I have a nice cross body from Liebeskind - it's not huge but it was about the £100 mark. I got mine from Zalando.

I'd link but am too lazy typing one handed while feeding DS.

I love vintage Dooney and Bourke leather bags.

I love Mimi Berry bags. Not cheap, but really well made (in Britain), great simple styles and no nasty brand names or bling. I also think it's worth looking on etsy.com- loads of options, I got one custom made to my specifications down to the flowery lining and extra pockets sent from the US.

I second Oushka, have had several gorgeous bags over the years. Cochinelle are nice but I charity shopped my last one as the handles had some sort of strange glue on them. Topshop and oasis are good on the high street too. Asos are worth a look for lesser known brands.

I stopped at a service station on the M40( I think) the other day and they had a shop selling really lovely bright leather bags. No idea if there is a market there or if other service stations have them, but am planning to stop again the next time we go that way - just didn't expect to find it there and wasn't really in the market for a new one at the time! Weird!
