tea dresses - not too short, or booby, or £100 for polyester?

So, I love the tea dress with tights and a cardie look. I know it's not teh most current but it flatters me and is kinda timeless. I've seen it mentioned lots, so I know other ppl on S&B like it too.

However all the ones I find recently are indecently short & need a vest underneath new look topshop and seem to be vv cheap polyester,

OR, they're £125 for polyester Jigsaw I'm looking at you.

Does anyone know where I can find the holy grail - Not too low cut, a couple inches above the knee, under £100, washable, not cheap looking? Do these even exist, or should I give up & wear my DH's smelly fleece and a pair of jogging bottoms?

Boden usually do a lot of that style of dress and are usually good quality.

Hobbs nw3 range (sales or eBay), boden

I know what you mean about topshop, I often love the prints but they are too short!

Try m and co - I have bought a couple of nice tea dresses in there. I also got a nice one in M&S this weekend - grey with little flowers in red/yellow

Have never shopped in Boden - will check it out & hobbs nw3!

I've got this

It's really nice, I would size down though as it was quite voluminous. I'm normally a 10 in dresses but find FC sizing snug so ordered the 12. It was way too big so I swapped it for an 8 which was perfect.

Oooh I love joy, but they rarely have my size. More dieting motivation.

Are Oasis & Warehouse dresses less skimpy? Last time I looked I thought they were much the same.

The FC one is perfect - exactly what I'm looking for Thanks
