Skirt and dress suggestions for a pear-shape

I seem to have lost my way with skirts and dresses in recent years and no longer know what would suit me. I'm size 10/12, with a 26in waist but 37in hips - so pretty well pear-shaped. I have been stuck in trousers for a while and would love to wear more skirts and dresses this spring/summer, but they need to suit my lifestyle - I'm predominantly a SAHM and also freelance at home, so don't want anything to "office-y". Oh and I'm mid-40s, with good legs. Please make some suggestions of what styles/shapes to look for - actual links would be even more helpful! I buy mostly mid-range clothes - think Boden, Joules prices. TIA.

Watching with interest-need some pear shaped suiting clothes. I keep getting stuff that cuts off at the hip due to mummy tummy.

I believe a line skirts & swing dresses are good for us?

Some suggestions in this thread from earlier today.

Thanks kosher-Op - just noted on other thread to try Matalan & search for swing dresses-cheap & cheerf which I like!

Great I'll have a look through that thread. But in the meantime here's a hopeful bump for more suggestions.

A line is your friend for skirts.

Avoid bias cut like the devil.

wrap dresses will make you look hour glass and gorgeous. They show off your waist. This is particularly true if you have a bigger bust.

I'm a more extreme pear than you and these styles are the only ones I can wear.
