Sorry, probably be done a million times. I need to change from Lancôme, have sensitive skin and oily T zone.

What do you think of Garnier, Loreal, Ponds, Nivea? Looks like Olay is no longer available.

TIA

I just bought Olay from Superdrugs, I wasn't aware that it was being discontinued. Are you sure?

Previously, I have used Superdrugs own brand products from their vitamin E range and the moisturiser was v good.

AdoraBell · 09/05/2014 02:50

No, I don't think it's discontinued, just not available where I live in forrin land. Sorry, forgot to out that in my OP.

Don't know what your skin is sensitive to, but often it's fragrance that causes a problem, so you might want to choose something fragrance-free. Aside from that, I'd pick the one you like the smell of best and try it for a couple of weeks. If it's no good for you, then the second best smell, and so on. Because all those brands make a wide range of products aimed at different skin types, and frankly any of them might suit you (or not).

I can totally recommend this range here, you can order it online. It's much the same price as the Boots stuff but so much better.

Thanks everyone? That site looks good, I've emailed them to see if they deliver here.

Bunnies I'm not sure either as almost everything I've tried other than Lancôme HydraZen makes my skin go red and ever so slightly itchy, and even that is perfumed. I'll see what I can find.

Thanks again.

AdoraBell, if there is something that you need, I would be happy to post out to you. I have paypal.

I'm in Wales and love shopping!

AdoraBell · 09/05/2014 15:11

Thanks for the offer Sunday but often postage is mega expensive as I'm half way round the world from you. I really need to find something I can buy locally. Lot's available, it's just finding something that suits.

OP posts:
AdoraBell · 09/05/2014 15:13

Lot's expensive stuff that is, but the pennies aren't stretching that far ATM.

Sometimes the more you spend you qualify for free shipping. Are there any other women near you who would also want to buy cosmetics or beauty products but can't justify buying single items with huge postage costs? If you clubbed together you could make one large order and possibly qualify for free shipping or combine shipping costs.

It could even be a money earner for you if you were to buy in bulk and sell on locally?

AdoraBell · 09/05/2014 19:06

I'd need a license to sell anything that's been imported. In fact to sell anything, but having something delivered from outside would get picked up by customs. They open packages randomly here to check it's not something they don't want people importing.

Oh, and right now I can only spend about £10, but I may look at bulk buying in the future.

Lookfantastic.com and hqhair.com both ship internationally (I think for free)

astral... cheap and lush my skin is loving it Thanks to whoever recommended it on MN Smile

KiaOraOAotearoa · 10/05/2014 07:58

Go for Ponds or Nivea. I thought Olay is the rebranding of Ponds?
I only use Olay.
Any oils good for you, as in go to a health food shop and see what they have? If it's sunny where you live, careful with oils, might need suncream :)
Whereabouts are you, I might have local insight :)

AdoraBell · 10/05/2014 12:49

I'm in Chile, twice as much radiation as the UK and I'm on the red side of brown hair with the skin that blisters in the sun to go with it. I would love to just use an oil with no perfumes, colourings and general gunk but it ain't happening.

I use an SPF 50, 30 in the winter.

Thanks again everyoneSmile

Another idea would be to liaise with other ex pat people in Chile as they come and go on holiday or to visit family so that you bring back stuff for each other.
