The perfect boyfriend fit jeans....do they exist?

I'm on the hunt for the perfect boyfriend fit jeans

I've linked to a pair here (hopefully it works)

I don't want them to be too distressed, too dark or too light. I want to wear them with flats or heels.

Have you found your perfect boyfriend jeans, if so where are they from

I have a pair of similar ones from River Island that are a couple of years old. I am looking for a replacement though as what was originally some minor rips are growing. I am interested to see what comes up on this thread. Both those links look like just what I am after too.

Loose jeans, slouchy tee is just my look and has been for many years. I wear skinnies too but don't find them comfortable.

Charitygirl1 · 08/05/2014 22:48

Just received these and they're certainly more flattering that others I've tried. Not particularly generous sizing but they're bound to relax so I'd recommend your normal size.

I started a thread on this earlier. I like those links, if they didn't have the rips.

Last year's lovely pair were from M&S Indigo - maybe I should look there?

CointreauVersial · 08/05/2014 22:52

Ooh, Charitygirl, just seen your link - nice!

Might order those if I don't find anything at the shops on Saturday.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2014 22:52

Yes, I don't want rips either as they get bigger

No rips !

AnyFucker · 08/05/2014 22:54

This type of jeans are a difficult fit though. What should look great, often doesn't . What looks a generous fit on the hanger often isn't. A minefield, much more than the skinny dilemma, IMO

Sleepwhenidie · 08/05/2014 22:55

I have these and I really love them, so flattering and comfortable. I went down one size from normal, my usual size felt too baggy.

AnyFucker · 08/05/2014 22:57

That price is ridiculous

Sleepwhenidie · 08/05/2014 23:02

Buy them in a UK shop and they are £230 so they seemed like a bargain Wink. I love them and will get amazing cost per wear from them though, so I'm happy.

CointreauVersial · 08/05/2014 23:04

AF - I've bought a couple of pairs online that were positively hanging off the twiggy models, but of course when I put them on, they're skin bloody tight. Angry

AnyFucker · 08/05/2014 23:06

I know, CV. I am quite skinny meself but fuck those "roomy" boyfriend jeans are anything but !

BringMeTea · 09/05/2014 07:44

I got a really nice pair in Primark last year. They were the ones featured in the Selfridges denim collection. Very cheap obvs and no actual rips. I had to size up though. Love them!

Blackjackcrossed · 09/05/2014 08:00

They make my thighs look humongous - and I thought skinny jeans were tricky to get right. They do look like jeans that would be easy to wear but the reality is very different. I got a pair in Zara when I was size 8, I'm in between a 10 and 12 now and I'm damned if I can look good in any pair I try on and my legs are pretty long but it makes no difference.

bishboschone · 09/05/2014 13:24

River island eva

lurkingfromhome · 09/05/2014 14:03

I'm really liking the Dorothy Perkins slimcut boyfriend ones. They're quite flattering as they don't have swathes of fabric to make me look enormous but still comfier and slouchier than skinnies. Mine only cost £20 as there was an offer on at the time but full price is still only £28. I had to size down.

MissMiss1 · 09/05/2014 17:26

I like those ones from asos, but like you say, getting the fit right is very difficult.

Im going to search the internet again tonight, but i find it so down heartening when you cant find what you're looking for.

Also, what do you wear with yours?

are skater shoes the way forward? Or converse? Or heels?
