I have the dress, what do I put on my feet?

What would you wear on your feet with a casual White Stuff type of dress? It's not for work it's for a birthday lunch out. It seems too early for bare legs and sandals, but all I have otherwise is winter boots. I don't really like flats/ballet pumps as I think they make me look dumpy. Are wedge courts too boring? Are tights allowed? Thanks!

Summer boots? I have a pale suede pair which are alway very useful at this time of year.

Or cowboy boots?

I like this look. I'm not sure I pull it off quite as well.

Bumping ...... I'm quite interested in an answer to this, I end up wearing some of my summer dresses for just a few weeks in the height of summer :( and they spend the rest of the time sitting in my wardrobe just for the want of some proper footwear !
