Bridesmaid dresses for DD's

Meggymoose · 28/08/2006 09:35

Any ideas on where to look for bridesmaid dresses for DD1 - 2.5yrs and DD2 11 months. I would like matching?! The first places that spung to mind were Debs, BHS, Monsoon but their sizes start from age 2 so DD2 cannot get one to match her sister.

All suggestions gratefully received! Thanks

Quite bridesmaidt I would say. Ivory/creamish a bit meringuey, like the ones in Debs!

DD1 had one from Debs which was 12 18 months.

I dont suppose you could put the wedding off until dd2 is 2 years old it would save you a lot of searching around

bugger - that's never happened to me before
here

BHS def come in baby sizes - the Lily Baby Dress in the middle here is 6-18m. The 2-10yrs dresses don't match exactly but co-ordinate - try the Ariella dress here for DD1.
You can order them from any BHS but only the big ones actually stock them.

let us see what you choose!

There is a place at Bluewater called Daisy and Tom. Its where we got DDs (6 years) but I know they started at 6 month and went up to 6 years - they were £90 for DDs but cheaper for smaller ones. V beautiful too.

fairydust · 29/08/2006 08:29

we friend had the ones from bhs and 2 hrs into the service the seams had come undone.

next to a nice range we had these for my mums wedding

MrsBadger · 29/08/2006 08:36

ooh, weird about the seam coming undone - my (admittedly adult) bridesmaids wore BHS dresses and the lady who did the alterations said they were remarkably well-made for the price.

Guess it's worth checking before you buy...

Meggymoose · 30/08/2006 10:06

I'll let you know what I choose! Am thinking of BHS at the mo but it's concerning about the seams. However on balance - they will only be wearing them for 1 day and it's not a big white affair so it might be ok for what we need......wonder if I can get to Bluewater!....
