Vie Organic Argan Oil - can I put this on my hair AFTER washing it?

I only go this recently and as per instructions I have put a tiny bit on my hair about half an hour before washing it. I certainly makes it all soft and manageable after wards, although it's still frizzy and wispy once dry.

I've been using Extraordinary Oil after washing which I am now running out of and I'm wondering whether I could just swap over or whether it will leave me with an oily, lanky mess (that'd be a first - think straw hatch Grin).

Any experiences please?

my hairdressers says that Moroccan oil can indeed be used both before and after washing. Her (excellent) demo for the post wash application is to rub it in from underneath, do not apply from the top or you will go oily.

Oh, thanks.

So applying from underneath: head down, you mean?
On wet or dry hair?

I suppose one radical option would be to simply try it out, wouldn't it?

I use oils before and after.

PacificDogwood · 05/05/2014 11:39

Oh, that's encouraging, Dame - can I ask what kind of oils? And what's your hair like?
Mine is wavy, frizzy caucasian hair of a reasonable thickness, but I it does go lank when overloaded.

bit hard to describe, but with head in normal position, push lightly oiled hands up and underneath it from the neck, and then pull hair out to run hands through it.

it goes on damp hair.

definitely try it on damp hair!

I use extraordinary oil on damp hair, then after I've dried it I use a bit to tame it down.

If I need extra I also use a smidge of frizz ease.

Recently I've discovered Fantasia hair products which I think were originally for afro hair but work great on my hair. I use the pink bottle which is a serum.

Tigi blow out balm is fantastic too.

All work well for meSmile

My hair is very thick with a natural wave and goes very frizzy in the rain.

PacificDogwood · 05/05/2014 14:44

Ah, thank you all.

I will brave more of a potential oil slink on a day I don't have to go to work Wink

specialsubject, that made perfect sense, thanks Smile
