Gawd. How to put together "glamorous" outfit when I don't do "glamorous"?

Heeelp! I need to put together a “glamorous” summer concert outfit - not a word I’d ever associate with anything I wear as I live in jeans/converse type clothes and never “dress up” for anything Confused

I’m 46, 5’9” and size 12-14, I guess I’d describe myself as an apple (have a small gut thing going on). It has to involve trousers (cellist). I’m thinking perhaps some good slim or tapered trousers and a slim-fitting shirt (silk maybe? or a silky fabric? A la Gillian Anderson in that serial killer thing) with some kind of a striking necklace to glam it up a bit (plus obviously good hair/make up on the night). Not sure about footwear. I know various sandals would look lovely (on someone else) but I have horrible (and massive) feet so it needs to be something foot-covering and flattering to my huge hooves. I can’t do frilly flowery things at all and prefer plain fabrics and more of a 'masculine' vibe (but obviously don't want to actually look like a bloke).

Reading that back the above doesn't sound remotely glamorous does it?

Any pointers/advice/suggestions would be hugely welcome Thanks

I've heard good things about the Boden cropped slim fit trousers (think they might be called chelsea) so they could be worth a look if they do a longer length

How about a jumpsuit with a smart jacket that you can take off?

THIS jumpsuit ?

Thanks for these suggestions: I hadn't thought of a jumpsuit and I quite like that Phase Eight one (although generally prefer slim legged trousers). I'm fairly long in the leg (33") so would be worried about getting a "flood warners" effect Grin

The Boden trousers could be good with the right top and accessories ...

Thanks
