Loreal...the king of cosmetics and beauty products?

Well, I'm thinking, since Loreal is the mastermind behind so many of, at least my favourite brands(The body shop, Lancome, Vichy, Maybelline), it makes you wonder: Is all the products actually mainly the same? Just with different prices, advertising and market groups? Are we actually fooled when we spend so much on a lipgloss from Lancome, when we can get exactly the same
for half the prize from Maybelline... Not only does it look the same, feel the same and even taste the same, it actually is the same brand that's behind it all!

I would imagine that there are certainly some products that are the same stuff in different packaging. Streamlining production is what big companies do, it would amaze me if they owned all these brands but kept separate factories for each one, and separate management structures etc, they're certain to be interlinked in some way.

But then again, I'm sure they'll keep some things specific to each brand, just to keep consumers loyal to the brand etc.

I wouldn't touch L'Oreal. They are well known for testing on animals. There are much nicer alternatives that are cruelty free & don't have that ridiculous "Because you're worth it" crap going on.
