New GHD's or Babyliss Big Hair?

My GHD's have been broken since christmas and dh is planning to buy me some more for my bday this month. My hair has a wave to it which I like but I like the straighteners to tame the flyaway wispy bits.

Just read on another thread about the damage they cause and wondering about asking for the BBHair instead. What does this actually do and how easy is it to use?

Get babyliss straighteners and big hair for the price of ghds
Have recently bought babyliss straighteners to replace my ghds and I can't tell the difference

They do very different things IMO. I have wavy hair too and I couldn't use the big hair to take stray bits, but it does give wonderful bounce.

I'd get the ghd straighteners first. Yes, they're harsh on the hair and I wouldn't use all the time, but less harsh than other brands I've found.

I use BBH on nearly dry or sprayed damp hair. They're more faff than straighteners but do different things, as mentioned above.

You need both really. And a parlux hairdryer; very good for flyaways.
