Hello S&Bers. I'm in dire need of advice, please.

My lovely MIL has just sent me £100 of JL vouchers.

I have a 4yo and a 6mo and am in a massive style rut. Baby is EBF so I'm double-layering longline vests over skinnies with ballet flats as a bit of a uniform.

I used to be vaguely stylish with a slightly quirky, alternative edge. Never wore jeans, lots of vintage and unusual boutiquey stuff.

I now have very little cash for splashing and am quite a bit plumper than I was. The weight is coming off slowly but I'd quite like to feel a bit fabulous as I am now Grin

I'm a tall (5ft 10) size 14ish. A bit flabby with a broad back. 36e/f. Bad knees, bobbed brown hair. Loads of clothes but nothing I love.

Quite fancy paring my wardrobe down and starting again with good basics, but want to keep a little bit of interest rather than going for true classics.

Where should I start with my little JL nestegg?
Thanks for reading this essay, sleep deprivation and excitement have fueled this post Wink

Thanks, moneyone. Bags are out as I've recently done a clearout and kept only a few good bags.
I did wonder about getting a nice pair of shoes, but I only wear flats as I do a lot of walking, and I already have many many pairs of leather/suede ballerinas plus some leather sandals.
I think I do need a nice piece of clothing really, though some new lipstick would be good alright Grin

How lovely is your MIL? (Mine is fabulous too). Get a decent pair of mid-dark jeggings/jeans. Oasis and warehouse are about 40 quid, I think and I believe they are good quality and well priced. Get 3 basic vest/tshirts In black, white and a bright colour and a plain blazer. Fingers crossed you'd have enough, can you out some of your own money towards a nice pair of pumps? Not ballet shoes, more pointed, suede is an expensive looking fabric, go for grey or black.

Good luck and enjoy!

What about this Marant alike jacket? Sold out in Mango, a favourite with bloggers.
