Hello Ladies,
I need a decent dress for a wedding in which I can nurse my baby. I am not very keen on buying an expensive one as it wont be of much use when I stop bf. Please look at the link below. I was thinking of going for the below ensemble.

Nursing Top:- www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_119020290460?CMP=SSH&tmcampid=28&tmad=c&sku=7547703&ci_sku=7547703&ci_src=18615224&$$ja=cgid:5632648687|tsid:45357|cid:105431527|lid:18283950120|nw:g|crid:50890265167|rnd:8308710897292687983|dvc:c|adp:1o1|bku:1&gclid=CJmg1-arjr4CFTMetAodqAIAQA

And Skirt:- www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_54510+800930060_-1

I am not very sure about the top because it is like a vest and only has some net at the back and is BLACK.

Please advise ladies..
Thanks in advance,
dcs

I think the vest looks a bit casual. And with the black and gold skirt very wintery. When is the wedding?
If you want to go top and skirt I would go for some kind of floaty top with best underneith so you pull top up and vest under boob (result is minimal boob expose up top and tum safely covered). Usually loads of dressy tops about like that.
But don't rule out dresses. I had some weddings to go to last year with an 8wk old so trotted off to the shops a couple of weeks before expecting to find nothing but actually found loads of dresses I could feed in. I got a gorgeous oasis silk dress that looked like a bit like a wrap dress. The top had a single popper to hold the crossover together so could undo and feed. Think they have some dresses on the same style this year too.

This is the same style of dress I had. Think they have other patterns too. Shorter than I would usually go for but given the breastfeeding requirements I thought that was a lower priority. My legs are nowhere near as long as the model so didn't look as short! And got some amazing 10 denier tights from peacocks that made my legs look great for 2 quid!
Otherwise wrap dresses in a Jersey fabric work well

hi Meganorks,
thanks for your reply. The wedding is end of May. I will look for dresses and some better tops for the skirt. Let's see what I can get.

I'd say the whole ensemble looks more winter cocktail party than spring wedding. I think you could get away with the skirt with a pale/cream chiffony top perhaps, but not with black. I'm not totally anti black at weddings so I think that top could work with a different skirt if needed, but the two in combo don't fit the occasion.

Thanks plateofcrumbs,
I was looking on the same lines. . perhaps a satin or chiffon top.. even the top in the pic with the skirt. anyways I am still looking. ta.
