What to wear with this dress?

I have this dress and I love it - it is super-flattering and looks much better on than it does in the picture. I plan to wear it to a summer wedding abroad but have no idea what to wear with it.

The wedding's in a hot country but will be cooler in the evening so I need a cover up/jacket, some shoes, a bag and perhaps a hat. I don't tend to look good in cream or silver, sadly, so although those would go with the dress they wouldn't be ideal for me. Any suggestions please?

I think a pashmina that picks up the colour in the pattern (a shade or 2 darker if cream isn't your thing) would look lovely, rather than a jacket. I would go for bag and shoes in the same colour as the pasmina and wear a simple flower hair slide instead of a hat.

So would midnight blue or navy work do you think? I have a lovely dark blue wrap which I could dig out. Good idea about flower in hair. Thanks!

Yes I think midnight blue would work nicely, I'd pop the dress on with your wrap and have a look in the mirror in day light. It is such a pretty dress so maybe keeping accessories fairly simple would be the way to go.

I think a grey pashmina and a silver clutch would be nice too. Plain cream strappy sandals would be good and I dont think you need a hat with this outfit.

I love your dress, I've been looking for a maxi dress with a neckline like that for ages. Where did you get it from? I agree with posters upthread, a pashmina and a flower in your hair would look great.

I'd like a silver pashmina and flat silver sandals with it. Silver jewelry with an indian vibe would work. The dress is a gorgeous colour. It doesnt need any more colour with it.

I'd love to wear silver with it but for some reason I look shocking in it - really washed out and miserable. I will have a rummage for the navy wrap and see what it looks like. No hat. Thanks all! Any idea about shoes? Heels? Wedges? Sandals? Wedding isn't on the beach but is outside, if that helps.

The dress is from EAST, by the way. It is probably the most flattering thing I have ever put on.

I would go for a nice flat or wedge sandal - grey would be lovely with a matching clutch and a blue pashmina.

Have you seen [http://www.east.co.uk/rambagh-print-dress-blue/ this]] picture ? the model has what looks like silver sandals on which you say you didn't want, so maybe summer sandals/flats with jewels on in the same colour . I cant find anything to link to but there are lots in the shops

How formal will it be ?
