What's coverage like with the Illamasqua Skin Base foundation?

I need really, really good coverage (to cover scarring) in a very pale shade. I know lots of people on here like Illamasqua for pale skins, and I am wondering what the coverage is like, is it a matte or shiny finish etc.

Or if there's anything else you have encountered which is worth considering.

I can't use Vichy Dermablend as it is too dark.

Buildable-I'd say it's medium to full. If you need very full coverage and are also very pale it might be worth buying their white foundation (or MAC's) and mixing it with a very full coverage one like Dermablend.

Definitely on the full coverage side. Gorgeously creamy on my dry skin though. With a matte finish.

I love it but only use it for nights out etc as it is perfect for achieving a really flawless look. Which sounds like it would suit your needs perfectly Smile.

Sounds promising. Keep the opinions coming!

Their rich liquid foundation is heavier IMO, too heavy for me though, I use the skin base one which is lovely as long as used fairly sparingly I find.

There are more shades in the Skin Base one I think which is why I am looking at it. We're talking super pale here.

I used to use MAC Studio Fix but it always used to look yellowy on me even in the palest shades.

MAC's face and body comes in white, like Ilamasqua's.

Blush sorry, didn't realise I'd already posted on this Blush

I love skin base. It's the only foundation that that I think makes my combination skin look good. I'd agree with medium to full coverage. I use sparingly for as natural a look as possible Grin and yes, it's quite matt I'd say.
