Help me find the perfect Coral Nail Varnish

I have lost count of the amount of bottles of varnish I have bought looking for the perfect coral, I am sick of buying them only to find when I put them on that they are not the right shade.

I bought another one that came today called OPI Touchan Do It and it is to orangey. I don't want one that is a pale orange and I don't want a red, I want something inbetween.

Has anyone found the perfect coral? I love Shellac Tropix but I don't want Shellac I want a varnish.

Help!!!

Something like this would be good - that's what I thought I bought - it is pale orange though in reality!

Bon Voyage by Leighton Denny. A lovely warm coral shade .

carlywurly · 29/04/2014 22:37

I have orange fizz by Chanel and mornington crescent by nails inc and both are lovely coral shades.
No 7 do some nice ones too.

Essie Tart Deco is a lovely coral, and BarryM Gelly in Papaya is also pretty and bargain at £3.99. Very shiny and lasts for ages.

TheCraicDealer · 29/04/2014 23:00

I second Essie Tart Deco, and also Van D'Go, but that might be too pink.

Have a look on Pinterest, loads of ideas and swatches there!

Nails Inc Kensington Passage? It's got good staying power and is a strong coral shade.

MrsOB · 29/04/2014 23:20

You can get a varnish in the Shellac colours... They are called Vinylux and don't need to be cured... I bought one from the lady who does my nails so I can use on my toes. I love Tropix, it's my favourite colour too Smile

capet · 29/04/2014 23:24

I like essie cute as a button

Botanicbaby · 30/04/2014 00:31

Revlon Perfect Coral is what you need.

MissBlake · 30/04/2014 09:59

Rimmel I heart lasting finish no tan lines here is nice -pale orange with a hint of pink. Maxfactor glossfinity cute coral is also a lovely colour.

MissBlake · 30/04/2014 10:01

Oh sorry I thought you said you wanted a pale orangy coral.

permaquandry · 30/04/2014 10:18

I have a Mavala one, I can't remember the name, will dig it out. They have lovely colours and go on really nicely.

Click44 · 30/04/2014 10:32

Try Rimmel Salon Pro Cocktail Passion.
I usually wear OPI or Essie, this is my first rimmel nail varnish and I am so impressed. It lasts about 5 days without chipping on my hard working hands, and so many people have commented on how good it looks it is my one for the summer!

Saurus72 · 30/04/2014 11:41

Korres have a brilliant coral shade called...Coral. I discovered it last year and it was pretty much the only polish I wore on my fingernails all Summer. Korres have their own website, but it us usually on Amazon too.

madammecholet · 30/04/2014 12:02

I used Shellac tropix for ages and when I needed a normal varnish I swapped to Sally Hanson Kook a Mango which is GORGEOUS! Kook a Mango... stays on forever too ;)

Petitgrain · 30/04/2014 12:04

I second Revlon's One Perfect Coral, it's all I wore for years.

EasterSundaySimmons · 30/04/2014 12:16

Mavala Samoa

Thank you for all the suggestions - I will look at them all later. Are any of them the same colour as the picture I posted?

MrsOB I didn't know you could buy Shellac colours in nail varnish - do you know where you can buy it? I used to love Shellac Coral but I don't think they do it anymore.

What is the one in the picture?

cardoon · 30/04/2014 19:23

I think OP said it is Touchan do it - I love YSL Coral divin

westendgirl780 · 30/04/2014 19:36

Second Essie cute as a button - I have shellac tropics on often and it is a dead ringer. Essie Sunday funday from last summer is also good.

TheJumped · 30/04/2014 19:58

Thirding Essie 'cute as a button'! It's pinkish toned which I find more flattering.

RiojaHaze · 30/04/2014 20:38

The Vinylux ones are on amazon, and you need to buy the top coat too.

RichTeaAreCrap · 30/04/2014 20:50

I 'think' the one in the picture is the old Shellac Coral. Touchan do it is the one that I got yesterday but it is just pale orange.

Is the Tropics pink then? Cute as a button looks more pink than coral to me.

I like the YSL coral divin one, that looks nice. Cardoon, is it an orangey one or redish tone?

I've just looked at Chanel holiday too - that looks nice in some pics but orange in others.
