I am short (5'1), size 14-16 and have a huge gut. I find it really difficult to find dresses that suit me but on the off chance, whilst looking at the house of Fraser sale online, I came across this beauty. I ordered it on Friday and it arrived today (great customer service too) and it looks fantastic. I am so chuffed I just had to share. I got it in the purple and it's gorgeous. Also not too long on me - comes to just below my knees. Not many sizes left though.

I think Landsend sizing is American??? What size did you order?

I am tallish and round - have just ordered a purple on for a BarMitzvah we are going to in a few weeks. I was dreading dress shopping but hopefully this will do the job.

I bought the 14-16. Only negative is that the neckline is a bit low so I'll have to put in a small stitch to preserve my modesty. It's very flattering and the material is nice and weighty so hangs well.

It's uk sizing there (and on the .co.uk site) I quite lands end for work wear. I'm a 12 but most of my weight round my middle and I agree these dresses are really flattering.

Is it true to size, does anyone know? I've had other Lands End stuff that's come up a bit biggish.

Thanks! My finger is still hovering over the buy button but can't finally decide as my mindset in in summer mode. I've got quite a bit from Landsend, including a couple of coats and been really pleased with them.

I'd say they come up big.
