How to wear tan shoes with skirts?

I have some lovely tan brogue style shoes but can't get them to work for work.
Bare legs look shit on me.
Nude tights look worse.
Leggings are ok for casual but not work.

HELP!

Where can I look at pics for inspiration?

What about with slim cropped (on the ankle, not halfway up the shin) navy trousers? The Boden Chelsea turn-ups are gorgeous in navy.

I put in search box brogues with skirts most were bare leg. Others were more wintery navy, maroon, gray tights. Some sheer tights. That might work for work.
