Wayyyyy behind the times, but I want a pair of Swedish Hasbeens (or similar!) are they worth it?

I've decided I don't want to spend another summer in just Birks and love the style of the black Swedish Hasbeens like these ones.

Are they comfy to walk in? Worth the price? Or can anyone recommend cheaper ones in the same style? I'd be happy with all black ones too :)

get Lotta ones instead

They are heavy but comfy.

MrsMeow · 26/04/2014 12:27

Oh wow they're near identical and ££ cheaper! 7cm heels seems quite high to me, I don't usually go that high, but does the sole make them comfier?

Thanks Tethers, they're a bargain :)

Now all you need is a bowl haircut and flouncy cheesecloth gypsy dress with a nice bit of smocking. Don't forget the iridescent blue eyeshadow worked with a lovely coral lip and pin thin eyebrows. Think The Nolan sisters.

GiniCooper · 26/04/2014 12:50

Wow, they're great the there's.
OP, they're available in a low heel too if you look at the rest of that site. 5cm more manageable!

noddyholder · 26/04/2014 12:55

Primark have them for a tenner I tried a pair and they were identical

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 26/04/2014 13:07

Good luck wearing them if you're used to BirkiesGrin

tethersend · 26/04/2014 13:08

Milmingebag, you've just described my ideal outfit Grin

Milmingebag · 26/04/2014 13:12

The 1970's Momwear look is very underrated Tethers Grin

Ria from Butterflies and Isla st Clair will be icons once more I tells ya.

Fullpleatherjacket · 26/04/2014 13:36

If there are cheaper options available I'd go with those.

I had a pair of wooden soled Scholls back in the day and after not very long at all my sweaty hooves had made them very much less than fragrant Blush

MrsMeow · 26/04/2014 13:43

Haha Grin at the Momswear look, I am as opposite to that as is possible! Made me laugh though and think of the Lily Allen video with the swingy legs bit!

I used to love Ria from Butterflies glossy hair...so jealous. Gini thanks, I didn't look at the rest of the site. 5 cm definitely better for me. Will look in Primark though, thanks Noddy, I was bloody in there yesterday as well!

Fullpleather, remember those hideous clogs that were in back in the mid nineties? I had a black patent pair from Jones the Bootmaker. God they honked. My friend threw them in the river Shock

Primark don't have leather shoes do they?

MrsMeow · 26/04/2014 13:47

Morris, I've got some French Sole-alike flats from there that have leather uppers.

Love Swedish Hasbeens but the price always puts me off from committing. Don't get why people think they're mumsey. Get the same things said about my clarks originals sandals but I think they look cool with bright nail polish and skinny jeans!

MrsMeow · 26/04/2014 14:56

Ooh Craic, that's exactly the look I'm after but in black or dark tan and maybe with a bit more or a closed toe. What are the heels like on those? I don't want totally flat.

tethersend · 26/04/2014 15:22

How about these?

They are v v comfy and lighter than the wooden soles.

noddyholder · 26/04/2014 15:24

I have clarks originals love them get them out every year They do only look good with skinnies though or shorts at a push

CoconutAmericano · 26/04/2014 15:46

Love those thecraicdealer.
