Thinking of cheating on my hairdresser....have you?

I've been going to the same place for years, it's a nice place but not too expensive. I have the same highlights and have experimented with different lengths over the years.
Hair is currently long but having two small children it gets tied back most of the time and I'm considering the chop. Trouble is although I like my hairdresser she never does my hair how I ask! When it's just a boring trim of long straight hair it's fine, but with anything else she is not adventurous at all. Also, I think her choice of hair colour looks terrible on her and if she can't see that, what hope is there for styling my hair to suit hair type, face shape etc.
Anyway, I can't seem to pluck up the courage to go somewhere unknown. Isn't that ridiculous? Why do hairdressers hold so much power when you're sitting in the chair?!

I've moved around the country so much that it's unusual for me to stick to the same hairdresser for a year or more.

Just google local providers, see if there's any good reviews available, and give it a shot!

i have an appointment with a new hairdresser. the old one is great at cutting, but I had some really ropey highlights there a while back. I'm going elsewhere for a cut and colour this weekend, but the new salon is within sight of the old one, so will have to keep my head down.

old salon is ace with kids though, so will still take the dds there. I might tell them I've started to get a friend to do mine or something...

I've recently switched too and am so pleased I did it. Fed up of hair cuts that took 5 mins and a lazy colourist who kept making excuses for not lightening my hair. Two appointments later and I have a better cut and lovely blonde highlights.

Do it!
