What shoes to wear with leggings?

If I wear dresses with leggings in the summer, what shoes can I wear?

Either full length or 3/4 length leggings, with short strappy dresses (cool and comfortable).

I can't walk in heels so must be flat.

Ballet flats or something along the lines of converse.

I wear tan or metallic gladiator style sandals. Clarks did some brilliant ones last year.

Ballet pumps,or most sandals-gladiator,toepost etc.Converse or trainers look awful with leggings and dress imo so won't suggest them!

I'm a bit bored with gladiators personally, but not sure if they have had their day or just passed into being classics.

Bear in mind that I need to be able to cycle and to walk a few miles in them, so it'll have to be something a bit practical with a reasonable sole. Open toe sandals mean my toes getting bashed on the bike pedals a bit, but I think these would be really comfy...
