Moisturiser with sunscreen stinging eyes & making them water

Just that, really..Does anyone else have any experience of this? I picked up the wrong Simple moisturiser by mistake as the packaging was so similar to my usual one. I only realised it was different (in that it contained SPF) when I used it and my eyes went red, stung and watered like crazy. I now have 2 bottles I can't use (2for1 offers). Searches online suggest it may be the sunscreen that's doing it - and it did feel like what happens when you get suncream in your eyes. I've never had a reaction to any skincare product before. I know you're not meant to put face cream in your eyes but it's inevitable a little may end up getting in. Does anyone have any experience of this? And can anyone recommend a moisturising lotion with SPF that they love & that doesn't sting. Thank you!

I use UltraSun Face (anti-ageing) Factor 30 in summer or 50 if I'm somewhere hot'n' forrin

No stinging and it does the job of moisture and protection
(I had a similar experience to you with a Decleor face product melting and burning my eyes on holiday)
