Please help! Affordable mascara that doesn't 'straighten' my eyelashes?

Could someone please tell me of a cheaper mascara that does not straighten my eyelashes?
I have found only Hypnose Lancome makes them thicker and more importantly does not straighten them.
I have tried:
MUA
KIKO
Maybelline
Rimmel
Max Factor
L'oreal
Collection 2000
Miss Sporty
Avon
Revlon.

I really can't be spending more than 20 pounds for the lovely Hypnose, can someone recommend one that is cheaper than that and it does not straighten the eyelashes after application?
Am I doing something wrong?
I usually curl my eyelashes before applying any make up, then I do the eyeliner, then eyeshadows, then eyeliner again and mascara at the end.

Thank you

I use Max Factor Masterpiece or Lash Adapt by No7, I don't rate Hypnose at all tbh.

I tend to curl mine right before I put mascara on, a quick blast of a hair dryer on the curlers before you use them works well too I find. I'm currently using a no7 exceptional definition and that definitely doesn't straighten my lashes. Have you tried rimmel sexy curves? I've used it a few times and been quite impressed for the price!

You need to use a waterproof mascara to set the curl. I have stubborn straight lashes and I apply a thin coat of any w/p mascara immediately after curling, then apply 1-2 coats of my regular mascara of choice. I found tutorial useful

Oops think it linked to ad before video! Try

TheAwfulDaughter I believe I apply it 'properly' roots and opening the eyelashes like a fan.
MooMin Thank you, I have realised the 'secret' could be simply waterproof mascara, not just Hypnose.
Thank you all.

Try soap and glory's gold mascara!
