Sorry, should have thought this through when I bought it but I am clueless. I got this grey skirt from Cos; I love it and it fits v well but I have nothing that suits to go on top... I'm thinking maybe a silk t-shirt like in the piccie but in a raspberry or purple, or a 'smart' sweatshirt perhaps? Any ideas v gratefully received Grin

Hmm,I'm not sure.I like the idea of colour but loose silk raspberry with that skirt makes me think of older women.Maybe it's just hard to picture?

I do like the skirt and love the shape but I'm not coming up with much either.Sorry.

Ps what is a 'smart sweatshirt'?

MrsPeacockDidIt · 15/04/2014 20:52

I wear a lot of grey as my neutral and wear with bright green or a bright blue but that's because I'm an HOC spring.

I have no idea on the style of top though as I don't have anything like that shape of skirt in my wardrobe.

Thanks both. No idea what colour 'type' I am but I have pale skin and red/blonde hair. Which prob rules out raspberry tones anyway... Re blouses, I wasn't thinking of anything too flouncy, more fitted. And by a sweatshirt, I mean with those ?raglan sleeves and the sewn V shape at the neckline but a bit less casual than a tracksuit top. Making any sense here? Not even sure I know what I'm on about! Confused

If you can't figure out two tops to wear it with return it - otherwise it will just sit in your wardrobe.

I was in a Jaegar sale shop today and the skirts were the cheapest items -- because what would people pair them with (and the cold leg problem).

TripTrapTripTrapOverTheBridge · 15/04/2014 22:32

I think it could take a sleeveless fitted top with maybe a bit of lace or Ponting detail going up each side on the centre because it is the kind of skirt that, depending on top,can make the top half look short imo.

Would you be happy not tucking a blouse/top in and possibly belting it?Even in a loose manner?

Ktay · 15/04/2014 22:36

Maybe... I'd have to buy a belt!

I've just remembered what I've seen that style of skirt with.Sleeveless tucked in blouse with kinda mini lapels.

Could go with the current yellow trend?
