Please help me, I really want to avoid buying another cardigan!

I always wear jeans, vest top and cardigan with a scarf. Always. Except for work, when I wear a skirt or trousers instead. And I didn't even know I always did this until somebody pointed it out to me!!

My two "best" cardigans are looking really tired and I've been looking for another. Can anybody find me/recommend me a jacket or something that is not a cardigan? I want to mix it up a bit and look smarter in an effort to look more refined

A jersey blazer? They are as comfortable as a cardigan but look smarter. Zara usually have some or search on shopstyle.co.uk

Zara is brilliant for jackets, and so is Uniqlo sometimes. They both do woven material ones as well as jersey versions. You just have to keep popping in.

I feel your pain - I also have far too many cardigans, and had to ban myself buying any more for a while.

why not just a sweater? Looked at some in Jigsaw but they are $ , but there are loads of sloppy ones in Boden for eg or Gap again

plus why not a shirt rather than a vest?
