Hi all,

So i am going with 14 pairs of pants Smile

But how many bikinis, sun dresses, dinner dresses etc?

Will mostly be around the hotel with 2 adventurous day trips. Restaurants at the hotel operate a casual elegant dress code, whatever that is?!?

Help!

I would take more than 14 pairs of knickers!!!

More than 14 pairs of pants. When you are not in swimwear for the day, you won't want to wear your sweaty undies when you change for the evening.

You can manage with just one bikini rinsed out each night, but for variety you might like more.

Maybe 7 evening outfits? You only wear them for a few hours and it is cooler then so each one should do 2 nights.

A few beach cover up outfits - casual dresses, kaftans, sarongs - for when you want to go for lunch without your bum out.

A few daytime walking around outfits - casual dresses or separates. BTW, Gap was recently doing a great sale including a lot of coloured vests which are great for hols (the quality is better than most other places too).

change underwear at end of day after shower, then wear next morning.

three sets of swimwear - one on, one drying on the balcony, one just in case.

decent footwear and socks (not ballet pumps) for the trips out. Flip flops. One pair evening shoes. A few t-shirts. Vest tops. One lightweight top for aircon/transfer coach/plane.

three evening outfits, and rotate. No-one will notice. You do NOT need seven!!

two cover ups.

sunglasses, sun hat, loads of suncream, insect repellent.

Me ? I think that Ihave it down to a fine art now,.. For the evenings i take about 7 long dresses (usually jersey styles - Boden. Fat Face, Monsoon and the like) this year it wil be 5 dresses and a couple of maxi skirts and 3 coordinating vest tops that can be dressed up or down , 2 bikinis , two or 3 beach dresses /kaftans, a white shirt, a pair of shorts, 2 sarongs , 2 wide pashmina style scarfs in light cotton , about 3 pairs of Accessorize flip flops , a hat and a couple of shrugs for the evening .. 2 bras with adjustableclear stra...)

Laska42 · 14/04/2014 19:47

If it's a pool based holiday you are likely to spend most days in swimwear all day and only need pants for the evenings and any trips out. I don't see the point of putting pants and a bra on for breakfast only to take them off again straight after breakfast to change into a bikini / swimming cossie.
