What to wear with a denim skirt so it is a little less dull

I have bought a dark denim pencil skirt which I absolutely love and fits me like a glove. I have a feeling that if I just wear a plain t-shirt with it then it will be a just boring. What does everyone else do?

I think it could be quite smart or really casual. I live in a fairly warm climate so really want something for summery weather.

I agree re t-shirt. I like to wear my denim skirt with fitted short sleeved blouses from H&M - I've got about four different ones.
In hotter weather I've got a couple of cami tops that I wear.
I would call it a casual/day look.

I think a dark denim skirt would be lovely with a Breton stripe tshirt and a bright or floral scarf. Maybe a red cardi. Or a navy or cream blazer

What about adding a statement necklace to the plain T shirt?

I wear mine with a plain t-shirt, plain cardi and statement necklace to brighten it up.
