I dont usually go for celebrityclothes lauches in high street shops.. being far out in the sticks, old and unfashionable.. but..

I think im going to really want her Aztec kaftan (photo halfway down this article) , but I live miles away from any store that is likely to stock it.

So, Do you think it will be premiered online on 30th April and what is the drill? Sign in 9am sharp or before?
Here are some more of her pieces for Top Shop due out that day..

Advice? Thanks seasoned fashionista sisters!

How old are you op?
They don't look very practical.
But They do give Kate moss some curves

Not my cup,of tea but I'm about a decade past top shop.

Mignonette · 10/04/2014 20:04

Not for me. The witchy superannuated Stevie Nicks look crossed with a used and abused Groupie look has worn a little thin.

AmelieRose · 10/04/2014 20:11

I have a fantastic black tuxedo jacket and black leather jacket from one of her previous ranges - they are real classics and very well made.

But I think a lot of her new stuff in this range is a bit too boho 70s for me... I do like the sequinned jacket though.

I'm not sure if they'll be available on the website but there is a Kate Moss email update you can sign up to on the Topshop website that might give you some more info?

Mignonette · 10/04/2014 20:13

Yes I have the fine needle stripe black and ochre yellow band jacket and city shorts. Love them and from her first collection.

Laska42 · 10/04/2014 20:14

Over 50!!Smile so, no, not a 'natural' Top Shop customer at all.. and am not keen on the others but i do like the linen kaftan better picture. ( and yes it does remind me of my 1970s Yoof!) Grin

so should I hightail it up to Oxford street with elbows out then?

I like the white dress but the rest is just urgh no!

AmelieRose · 10/04/2014 20:35

Do you know what I would do OP? I'd find a TS that isn't likely to be as busy but that stocks the range. I used to go to one in the town my grandparents live in as it stocked the full range and I could usually get my size as it wasn't a 'trendy' town if you get what I mean.

You'll need to trample over lots of wafty young boho blondes in Oxford Street. But that might be part of the fun! Grin

amelie I was thinking maybe Southampton.. but how will i know if they will have it? (will phone them beforehand i think )

Your age has nothing to do with it op. In fact I thought kaftans were regulation summer wear for us over 50s!

The store website normally says which branches are getting it. I don't know whether anyone will tell you who has the kaftan but no harm asking. I think if you go online, the site is bound to crash and your chances are completely random but as good as anyone else's. If you go to a store, it's partly luck and partly about how good a scrapper you are. Grin Don't forget Ebay - lots of it will probably go straight there.

It will be interesting to see if Mossy has the same pulling power now that she's not on the cover of Grazia as often.

Bellebelle · 11/04/2014 07:24

Net a Porter are going to be selling it too, you can sign up for emails to tell you when it's going on sale. I bought lots of the Peter Pilotto for Target range from there and despite loads of people going online that morning for it the website stayed stable, no crashing or putting things in your basket for it to then be sold out when I checked out. Much better than Topshop & H&M websites which tend to collapse whenever there's a big launch.

Mignonette · 11/04/2014 07:49

I think La Moss's pulling power is safe- she is on the cover of this Months British Vogue and has recently been on the cover of Love. These tend to have more influence upon the desirability and rate of a model than the weekly magazines.

Floisme · 11/04/2014 08:11

I hope you're right, Mignonette, I have a soft spot for Moss. I may even buy Vogue (despite vowing to give it up) if she's on the cover Smile

Mignonette · 11/04/2014 09:44

I think Kate transcends model fashion. Like Jean Shrimpton she is timeless and this seems to be something unique to British models. We do value quirkiness- snaggle teeth, bow legs and three inches less than the model ideal!

StyleOverSubstance · 11/04/2014 10:18

where can you preview the items? On the website? (Not a topshop customer any more Blush) - I am probably well outside their chosen demographic (old gimmer) and they would pay me not to wear their clothing, but my DD would possibly be interested and has the figure for it.

Floisme · 11/04/2014 15:57

You can see a couple of things on the website at the moment and do a 'Which Kate are you?' quiz Grin But it's all very stylized and you don't get a proper view of anything, which I assume is deliberate. www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/category/kate-moss-x-topshop-the-icon-is-back-30042014-2834606/home?TS=1396356314294&intcmpid=W_HERO_WELOVE_UK_WK32_KM_BETH_DITTO

I'm not sure what the Top Shop demographic is, to be honest. Once you get beyond the headline-y things, a lot of the stuff really quite mainstream. They're not particularly cheap any more either which I'm sure must put off the teenagers. I still buy bits there and I'm in my fifties - I'm just very selective.

BecauseIsaidS0 · 11/04/2014 16:16

Her clothes are made for people without boobs, so I'm out Hmm

StyleOverSubstance · 12/04/2014 11:46
