L'Oreal Majirel/Majirouge mix question

Hi there,
My natural colour is light brown and I've been using
1/2 tube Majirel 7 (Blonde) + 1/4 tube Majirel 8.45 (Light Copper Mahogany Blonde) + 20vol, for quite a while. It makes it a light copper colour....it's ok but I'd like to go Florence Welch red.
Can someone give me pointers on what Majirel/Majirouge mix I should go for please?

Many thanks!
Boldy

I'm a hairdresser, majirouge 3/4 tube 6.64 with 1/4 tube 7.46 and 75ml 20vol loreal oxydant is what you need Smile hth

HairyFairyFoof · 10/04/2014 14:57

6.64 is dark extra red copper blonde and 7.46 is extra copper red blonde

Sorry to hijack briefly, what would be the shade mix for a cool red to suit a cool complexion? I love the Florence Welch colour but think it would be too warm for me.

Boldy, do you find the red in that brand lasts?

Thank you! Wink

You won't go wrong with the L'Oreal majirel/majirouge range. I've also used Alfaparf Evolution which is on a par

Thanks! I've only ever had salon dyed reds or box kits, and they seem to go orange very quickly.

HairyFairyFoof · 10/04/2014 16:01

MissU, depends really on what your hair colour is now, and how light/dark it is, and how dark/light a shade of red you would like. Did you want the same level as Flo but just cooler?

MissUumellmahaye · 10/04/2014 16:21

I'm naturally between dark ash and mousey brown, I'm in my early 40s so I don't want to go too dark, but orangey reds look awful on me.

I've got a t section of highlights at the moment, and my hair is sort of Anne Hathaway length.

I love this, but I'm not sure whether it's a cool enough colour. I don't like burgundy reds.

I like this too, is this a cooler version of the same level as Flo? I'm not very good at judging light and dark with red.

ooh, Hairy could I ask too? Grin

I have dark brown hair, and use Nice&Easy Light Ash Brown (the medium brown is too dark) but my greys come through after a week so I was thinking of trying Majirel. I really, really hate the orange 'halo' that I get - I would give the sun, moon and stars to get rid of that! I use Aveda Black Malva to tone it down, but it's not enough really.

I hope someone will read my post given this thread is old. Anyway. I'm new to this brand. My natural colours is brown/black and I've been covering my greys with a matching colour for years. I'm keen to try the majirel 6.66 as seen on my stepdaughter. However I've never used this product. What else should I buy in order to use it and what quantities please? I have long hair, down to mid-back. Thank you.
