Do I wear make-up to a spa day?

Silly question maybe, but I'm a non-wearer of make-up except for special occasions. Its a big event with a group of women who are very groomed so would normally wear it, but there's surely going to be pool time etc?

Plus what treatment should I have as a person who finds going to the hairdresser and having my head touched intrusive?

People who always wear make up will wear it to get there and then take it off for the pool/sauna etc and reapply it afterwards - well that's what I did the last time I went on a spa day!

Do you just not like having your head touched or do you not like being touched at all? Most facials will include a head and face massage massage. Manicure/pedi probably safest option though again they will include a hand/arm/foot/lower leg massage but you could ask them not to do that bit.

Hope you have a good day there.

If I was going straight to spa no way. I would take a lovely cleansing balm on my face to wear when i went in sauna steam and or maybe a nice moisturiser. Makeup will only run and make you look awful. This way you will get a nice glow.
I would get a pedicure

I don't wear any, or bother to blow dry my hair. I also wear specs rather than lenses.
With 5 minutes of the pool, sauna, watery areas it'll all be off anyway.

Take your favourite products with you; body scrub, hair mask etc. Most spas have lovely body lotions & shower gels though.

Definitely sort your feet out beforehand though. From past experience you don't want to be lounging around staring at your cracked heels Blush.

I know they're not fashionable on MN but I love a spa.
Have a great time.

I love the spa and would always go clean but without makeup. Especially if you are not someone who would wear it every day.

I like a massage or a pedi but I'm not a treatment person. I just like to chill. That's fine too.

Thank you all for your advice. No makeup it is though, and probably a manicure (the package includes a treatment so it would look odd if I didn't have one). I'm rather looking forward to lazing about in the pool area and the wine later
