Jeans for small waist and large hipped women

I'm having trouble finding jeans that will fit me properly, they're either too loose on the waist or way too tight on the hips. My measurements are 25inch waist and 38inch hips.

Where do other large hipped and small waisted women buy jeans?

I have the same problem and now just buy cheap high street jeans that fit me well in the hips and legs and then put a couple of darts in the back of the waistband with my sewing machine so they fit at the waist too. I always have to take the legs up too, so taking in the waist is an easy win.

I tried on the Levi Curve ID ones but couldn't find a pair that fit me at all.

I tend to buy stretchy high waisted styles (Dr Denim are good as an affordable option, otherwise I like Goldsign Virtuals).

Thanks :) I think it's going to be a nightmare for me, I only have short legs too so I'm going to be looking for curvy petite jeans.

Bought a pair of Levis 529 curvy bootcuts recently, and they fit great.

Levi;s bold curve, or Next (honestly!) slim leg lift, slim and shape. Really flattering.

Evans do jeans specifically for pear shapes ( sorry I'm not trying to be rude)

onetiredmummy · 09/04/2014 20:37

Ah seen your measurements, not sure what size Evans start at.....

OneUp · 09/04/2014 20:38

OneTiredMummy it's not rude. I know that I've got a quite pear shaped lower half! I seem to be a really weird shape in that there's one or two dress sizes between my waist and hips.

I'm the same oneup - I have about 15" difference.

whereisshe · 09/04/2014 20:57

What's your budget? There are some US brands that aim at that shape, eg little in the middle. I'm quite pear and I've always found Scandi brands to be quite good eg Vila, Vero Moda...

I'm looking around the £25 mark but could stretch a little for a pair of jeans that really fitted well. I'm sick of having jeans that just go through on the seat after a while because they're too tight. Equally I hate wearing jeans that are the right size on the hips but way too big on the waist so I end up flashing my pants when I crouch.

I'm 25" waist, 36" hips, Uniqlo super skinny fit me well. They also have some new ultra stretch jeans, which look like they might be good, about £30, but often cheaper in their (many) sales.

burnishedsilver · 10/04/2014 09:26

Salsa jeans are made for your shape. I cant wear them at all.

shelldockley · 10/04/2014 10:10

I have a 10-12" difference, and like Gap jeans, have you tried those? More in your price bracket and often have sales/offers on.

BestestBrownies · 10/04/2014 10:16

Try M&S 'Marylin' jeans. I bought a pair in January and they fit great. Can't remember the exact price, but pretty sure they were under £30

iseenodust · 10/04/2014 10:19

I don't buy denim jeans but I've just discovered Monsoon cotton trousers cater to curvy.

Fragglewump · 10/04/2014 10:21

Was about to say m and s - they have loads of different body shape jeans. I love mine and because they are the right shape I got a size smaller than I normally buy!
