Decent quality trousers for work for 'curvy' legs and not black

I'm trying to put together a work wardrobe ready for mat leave to end in a few weeks. I need a pair of trousers, but skinny / tapered don't suit as I have big thighs and calves so need something looser. I'd also like to avoid black and get some that go with the lovely autumn colours I've bought tops in like browns, mustard, greens.

Any thought of where to look, and what shape? I had some m&s trousers pre-DCs but I didn't fancy any of the (non black...) I saw on the website.

Thank you polyh and liberty. Perhaps I should just bite the bullet.

Well fitting trousers are my holy grail...I can buy tops aplenty without even trying on, ditto jackets etc but never trousers. am often tempted to buy 2 when I find well fitting ones...but times move on.

I have 2 pairs of black Gap trousers bought under this policy...and both are bootleg and slightly well off trend now. Ditto Tommy Hilfiger jeans

The vole is a coffee colour with a slightly pinkish / purplish tint to them, I would say.

I think the vole has a slight greyness to it too.

And thanks for the info on calling boden, they did have a couple of my size and I've ordered them with the same discount so don't have to wait and hope either :)

Thanks for the colour details, Jenni - sounds quire subtle. Sounds like it would go with navy or black tops - yes?

I'm not great with what goes but I have an autumn wardrobe and see these going with my brown, mustard, green sorts of tops. I think I'd put it more with navy than black.
Sorry, I doubt that's very helpful!

I second the White Stuff suggestion - I've got a couple of pairs of non-black work trousers there - and I'm blessed with generous bottom and thighs. Not sure what their current range is like but had good things in the past.

Gap has been a good source of chino type trousers in the past - their styles vary hugely though in fit so you really have to go and try a whole load on.

Just back to say my Chelsea turn ups arrived today and the fit is excellent on my pear shaped hips and voluptuous thighs! I ordered the green ones and don't like the colour but I rang them and they had one pair in my size in the blue (yay) so hoping they arrive soon.

Will very likely order the navy too.
